We arrived at the airport midmorning, with plenty of time to get everything settled before our flight took off. Around the time we were supposed to take off, we discovered that there was a technical issue with the plane, and they were delaying the flight to try to have it fixed. We found a nice corner to keep the kids in, and waited.

And waited.
And waited.
We didn't really get updates with the status of the flight, just that it was being addressed. And finally, about 7 hours late, a new plane arrived and we were able to get going.

Honestly, the kids behaved very well for being stuck in a boring airport all day long. I think the adults were a bit more grumpy, but that's mostly because by the time we got to our destination, it was time to eat and get the kids to bed. It really seemed to shorten our already quick getaway. Fortunately, we were able to have a good time once we got going.
