Gigi Visit and Paris- Day 3

We were happy to discover this day that the computers were up and running at the metro station. We were able to buy our passes, and we set out to explore Luxembourg Gardens.

Breakfast

It was chilly, and the plants were mostly brown, but it was still nice to walk around the Gardens.

The statues were Clara's favorite part

After a short walk, we found the children's playground. There was a small fee to get in (for an all day pass), but as we were going to the gate, another family handed us their tickets. We only had to buy two tickets ourselves. Score!

This was a zipline, and the track went around this ovalish path. Miles did ride, but it was too quick to get a picture.

We stayed at the park for quite a while, until the kids were hungry enough to want to leave. We grabbed a quick snack at a cafe in the gardens, then went to see the Statue of Liberty.

Then we made our way out of the park to find the metro station.

I had found a restaurant on a travel blog that said it was good for children, so we rode the metro a few stops to find it. When we walked by and saw that the waitstaff were all in tuxes, we got right back onto the metro.  We decided to head toward Centre Pompidou to have lunch and then check out the children's art gallery.

It started raining lightly while we were eating, and it was starting to get a bit late. See, this night Matt and I had reservations for our anniversary dinner, so we wanted to get to the apartment in time to rest, get food for everyone else, and get ready to go out. So we skipped the art after lunch (at least we were getting our money's worth out of the metro passes).

On the way back, we stopped in a souvenir shop and let the kids choose their mementos.

We picked up food on the way, and once we got back to the apartment, we told the kids they would be having a pajama party with Gigi. Then Matt and I got changed and headed out to our anniversary dinner. That will be a post all on its own!
