Sister Visit - Up North

After our action-packed London visit, it was time to show my sister and her family where we live. Here's a summary of our time together up North.

We spent one day exploring the Shambles in York. We had street food and did a little shopping.

We had afternoon tea, which was delicious.

Lesa, Jimmy, Matt, and I had date night at a great Turkish restaurant. It was nice to have a chance to talk a bit without being distracted by the kids.

We went to Knaresborough to see the castle ruins.

We walked around Harlow Carr. The kids enjoyed following the Jurassic trail that was set up.

And somehow we did still have a little time to relax.

And all too soon it was time to say goodbye.

It was such a great visit, and I especially loved seeing the kids interact. It does make me sad that my kids live so far from their only cousin, especially at their ages now. Hopefully they'll continue to get along so well whenever they see each other.
