Croissant French toast with berries and custard |
Once we had eaten, I saw on the drinks menu a gin that had recently been recommended to me. Matt and I each had one brunch drink before we headed back to the hotel.
Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz gin, it was lovely |
The kids saw a ladybird on the wall outside the hotel. While Matt and I finished packing, they relaxed with television.
Once we had checked out, we had a bit of time to visit the green steps once more.
Around the area, the city had set up different outdoor activities and challenges (like pull-ups, races, jumping). At the top of the steps we found a track and ping pong tables, which kept the kids occupied until it was time to collect our suitcases.
There was a little rain |
We caught the train back, and as usual asked the children what their favorite part of the trip was.
Miles: Lambananas, the slide at the mall, and Build A Bear
Lily: Running through the sprinklers
Clara: Walking through the splash pad.
In all, it was another fun trip. I liked that it was a short and easy train ride away, and wouldn't mind going back sometime.
